Without a doubt in my heart "Angel Beats" was THE BEST anime to air in Japan in 2010.

If none of you have watched it then I strongly suggest you do.

The series will make you shed tears, thats a promise.

I can't confirm it in truth but I have been hearing from a lot of my friends there planing to do a second session this coming spring.

Key Visual stuff is more then very good its full of real life settings and has none beatable drama that always fines a way to make you cry. It also has some of the best comedy I've ever seen in Anime. Angel Beats, Clannad, Kaoon, and Air would all make my "Top 100 Best Anime Of Times That You Should See Before Death Do We Part" list, easily.

Short answer Angel Beats was breathtaking.

Agreed there was only a few newer shows I liked that year and Angel Beats would be at the top along with most likely High School of The Dead. Both very different styles of Anime.

But not only was Angel Beats great and a most watch almost everything Key makes is a most watch. It does a great job at tugging at your emotions. Even sadder, with a nice happy ending (If you watch and understand the complicating storyline) was Clannad After Story. That show made me balls tears mid show.

There was a special OVA episode in the final DVD/Blu-ray which was a comedy episode which took place somewhere in the middle of the series:
