Bloody Roar
I found a fan comic that may be based off of this series... I think.

I think we should have a thread dedicated to it now. Edit: Crap I hit enter before I put in transformation. Last edited by jolem; 09-04-2012 at 05:58 PM. |

Re: Bloody Roar
I actually just started a Bloody Roar page on my wiki, but it's pretty sparse ATM. The last time I played a BR game was when I rented 2 in the 90s. I'll probably steal some images for that page from the Bloody Roar Wikia (which is, itself, kinda sparse for info outside of BR:E)

Re: Bloody Roar
Don't think that those comics are in the canon universe of Bloody Roar. Though, they seems to be based on that serie. However, in Bloody Roar, the characters can't only change parts of theirs body like in those comics. They can only change fully into anthro-ish animals or part animals (Yuriko).

Personally, I feel bad that Bloody Roar didn't pick up the kind of popularity it could've had. While I never played the first two (up until their release on the PSN, they were a little difficult to come across on my end), I did keep up with most of the story up until BR4. I wish they went into the whole Tylon/Tyron issue that the series was built on instead of dropping that entire arc for that "unborn" nonsense that started in BR3. Granted, it still had potential, but they should've at least provided some degree of closure before moving to THAT arc. I'm also a little irritated that Uriko is referred to as a "cat" rather than a "half-beast" in BR4. Could the series come back? Can't say, but I think there's still some steam left in it to give it one more shot. If they do decide to revive it, let's hope it doesn't get the same treatment as the PS2 Altered Beast. XD |

Re: Bloody Roar
The problem is there's no reason for it to come back. Look at the fighting game landscape these days. You either have your tourney games (SF, MvC, KoF, VF) or your anime games (Arcana Heart, fate/stay, aquapazza, mortal kombat). If Konami even cares about their legacy franchises (which they clearly do not) they would have no reason to release it.
That said Eighting has been quite since UMvC. It might be interesting if they could come back to the series and make an entry that's not completely broken.
