Oh yeah, Haibane Renmei. I was inspired to buy the entire thing because I heard the song A Little Plate's Rondo on Stepmania, and after watching .Hack//SIGN, another anime with my kind of music was something I really wanted.
The anime itself, though slow, is just, to me, so damn beautiful. I can't describe it, it's just... the atmosphere of the town, the characters everything is captured and simply feels real. The tf itself I personally wouldn't have called a tf. Just a wing growth in my opinion, but I can see that such a thing can please people who are more into that kind of thing. It's very well portrayed.

I'd say it sure as hell counts. I don't think I've ever seen a more detailed wing growth anywhere.
