Looking for Some Photoshop Advice

Jenny P, an excellent photomorpher, has a new cat pic up here: http://JPG24.deviantart.com/art/Cele...s-Cat-78824551

and I noticed she has nicely textured skin in areas she built up. When I do similar work, it isn't textured so it tends to stand out more, as you can see here:

It looks like I can replicate her effect by using a texture overlay, but I'm unaware of how you can make one for skin, or any place I can download one. Does anyone know how to make an overlay like that? It would be very useful, for noses, hooves and all sorts of stuff.
