Didn't they kill both their counterparts in the UK version though?

One of those three is going to most likely die this season, you don't play music like that, have some touching scene and then a happy ending. Just doesn't happen.

Re: Being Human US and UK Season 3

While the first season was basically a direct port from the UK version, the series has diverged more or less completely starting with the US season 2. The UK version did a complete cast reset, caused by one leaving to do movies and, one would assume, the replacements being cheaper. Doesn't mean it will necessarily happen here.

Also, the new girl, according to IMDB, has several episodes this year, so she isn't immediately going away. That said, the first transformation is almost always the "best" (can anyone think of any exceptions), so I wouldn't expect anything on the fetish end out of her. I mean, after Nora's first (fairly great, in my opinion) transformation, she's had 1 half-assed on screen transformation and about a dozen off screen.

With all that said, based off watching the show for 2 years, everyone who isn't the main cast ends up dead. Specifically, it would seem like they're setting up Nora for a redemption death somewhere down the line (maybe she was the one who scratched the girl, dies to give her a normal life, etc.). And obviously Josh will return to being a werewolf sooner rather than later, as the series doesn't really make sense in the long run as it is now.

Sounds about right. She's way too concerned about that girl to not do something crazy like getting herself killed in order to save her.

Re: Being Human US and UK Season 3

EDIT: Just looking at the series from a non-werewolf standpoint 2 1/4 seasons in, it made a fairly large mistake killing their most interesting villian (Bishop) in season one just because they were copying the UK playbook. Since they were going to diverge anyway, they'd have been better off just keeping him as a foil. And killing the main season 2 villian offscreen before season 3 is just odd, and reeks of "we couldn't resign the actress" rather than any intelligent plot point.

One of the good things about the series is that it isn't afraid to reference past characters and plotlines which gives the impression of a well thought-out TV show. I just wish the series felt like it had more of an overall plan as opposed to "oh, we got renewed for another year? Let's cook up some new shit!"

Cool Re: Being Human US and UK Season 3

The striptease-lead up is tasty beforehand, and despite the brief process depicted I find it not too bad actually. Obviously more could have been done, but one of the things that most appealed to me was when she drops down onto all-fours and the camera cuts to her bare back. The stretching sound as the cgi kicks in is quite fetching, even adds a feeling of pain to the process.

Much obliged Rei-Lin for providing the vid clip and WuschelWolf for the YouTube upload.

Plus it seems we're actually talking about the US version.
Nevermind.

Meh. Not much to be seen in terms of process here? I personally already found Nora's change not so good compared to UK effects, so this isn't better. Still, nice to watch of course and better than pure offscreen. Thanks for sharing.~
I guess you guys like it mostly because of the lack of anything else, oh and the striptease and the two changed girls nuzzling in the end. :3

That's the point. There is nothing more to see out there. British BH will have two more werewolves confirmed, but both are male (Remember: poor Nina/what happened to Allison?/Christa would have been a decent spinoff).
