Some of you might remember when I posted my Ranma 1/2 Photo Manipulations where I merged a bunch of the comic files from Ranmabooks.com into a larger overall story I tilted Larger Akane.

Some of you might remember my Ranma 1/2 story Bust Cream.

For those who don't remember, enjoy.

For those who remember, here they are again, in the new and improved format. I never liked how they turned out and how many places I just skipped over to move the plot forward. When I'm taking a time for writing I do photo manipulations... most times they never get posted because I'm lazy. So I decided I'd share all the photo manipulations I did with Akane. Some of these are merely implied process, some of it actually is process.

I also included a story that I've been wanting to get commissioned for a long time, hopefully by someone like PalComix or the like, but I don't have the funds nor do I believe will I have the funds for a long time to do that. I've often thought about doing a kick starter or a go fund me campaign, but because this would be characters who have copy right protection I never felt good about that, even if I gave away any excess money to a charity or something... so anyway, hope you guys enjoy the deluge of stuff I've dropped off into this thread.

That final piece of art was by an artist called CallMePo, and he was the front runner I wanted to do my art/commission but whenever he came available for commissions I was always out of money or he would get full up before I could get him my next request.

Even if the story has been altered, does that still apply?

Not arguing, but didn't think because I altered the images and made them different than original content it wouldn't be wrong.

There are about 3 of those that don't have process that could be seen as unaltered pay content, I didn't put up the original content for a before or after, I was going to but for some reason Zips don't seem to like me on this site.

For instance the On The Glass and Gold Medal Winner were just slight tweaks to enhance Akane's breasts so they're larger, no process involved in those, than the pay content. But anything with word balloons have all been updated to tell my "narrative" for the stories involved.

They are completely different than what you would find behind Ranmabooks.com. Which were all acquired while I was a member there. I love the site but honestly it's content and update schedule, kinda like expansion fan, were not good bang for my buck. But I am a fan of the quality of the artwork they used to, and sometimes still do, produce.

As mentioned by the poster there are a few that are essentially unchanged; is that fair use? If I make an exact copy of something and change nothing but the dialogue, is that still fair use? The ones that are morphed quite a bit sure, no argument here about those; I'm just concerned for the rest.

I could be mistaken about how far the fair use rules go but I don't think they're that lose.

The problem is that you don't establish a narrative off of a single image where a storyboard is concerned, you have to consider the entire work. The larger issue is whether the morphs themselves are substantially transformative, as altering the narrative is rather self-evident by comparison.

It's she, please. It's an ambiguous title, but Janus is my favorite Roman God so I lifted the name.

I removed the files that were apparently causing contention. It was not my intention to cause the site or anyone to get into trouble. As one of my side hobbies, I thought I'd post them with the stuff I just randomly did that told stories.

Hopefully Extro and the original artist for short & busty won't mind my alterations.

I think T.L. was pulling in your favour, as fan works of copyrighted characters are technically illegal, so it really becomes a whole "glass houses" thing. At least two people here are on your side.

When it comes to modifying unauthorized doujin to tell a different story, I say "go for it".
If worse comes to worst, discovery would be a blast.

Basically, the "original" artist would be in a position where there artwork is readily considered illegal, most likely under the DMCA or Berne Convention depending on where the server's located, while attempting to mount a legal challenge in a court of law.

I wouldn't worry about it.
