Re: DreamTales Comic Survey
How about you do what Gary Pranzo did when he ran out of ideas and creative drive and kept repeatedly churning out stale formulaic content for years: solicit scripts for production?
You've relied on the same artists and scenarios for years in a field where people want novelty. How do you plan to break out of your box when that Golly Gosh sentimental voice of yours is so distinct in your writing? What are you going to find from this survey that you don't already know? Giantess has the largest audience, shrinking women the smallest, selling age regression material goes into pretty grey areas, and custom responses are going to open you to having to sift through everyone's personal subfetish. Oh, and *everything* is pirated.

Re: DreamTales Comic Survey
funny how shrinking women has the 'smallest' you say. I think they have a 'large' following. *Snicker*

Re: DreamTales Comic Survey
Sales data is hard to argue against. Transformation marketed right could score big with furries, for example, a market segment that dwarfs all of this.

Re: DreamTales Comic Survey
Thank you DT for the survey, though I already took it since you sent me one in my email. I hope you guys can change for the better. Especially when it comes to yard work ^^;

But I do love the pun like sentence, though I don't think LK was trying to do that on purpose ^^; Still a good catch though. |

BTW I am always open to story ideas, so please post or send them if you want them to be considered. I've also worked with other authors (notably Merritt Stone) on my comics. I realize SW is the "smallest" interest of any genre, but it's still my favorite. I'll definitely be doing more of them. Lorekeep, thanks very much for the input and suggestions. I'll post the results in a few days... |

Re: DreamTales Comic Survey
Hmm. I boo'd on there at humiliation a bit in the survey, but thinking on it, it's not that I don't like some of that in your work, it's the prolonged ones that make me sigh and quit reading.
A snappy end that ends like that isn't a bad thing. Do the long serials really perform much better? I tend to prefer your shorter ones, since they don't ask a stretch of 'here's this scenario proceeding for days/weeks'.

Re: DreamTales Comic Survey
You should post links to this survey in the other sections. Some may not have taken it because they thought it strictly AR/AP

Thanks lbh and vended, good thoughts - I'll definitely do that next time. However I want to get the results out quickly, and I already have a lot of responses, so I'll be posting the results here shortly.

Re: DreamTales Comic Survey
The poll results are in!
I don’t have time to go into a detailed analysis just now, so I’m posting a brief summary. Interestingly the results were very similar to the last poll several years ago. Lots of respondents gave detailed ideas and comments, which I will read through carefully. There were over 900 responses! Favorite Genre? From best to least liked: Giantess, AR, SW and Other. Other Genres you’s like to see? Lots of interest in Breast Enlargement comics! And attribute transfer was second. (I do plan to have another BE comic in the future) Do You Like to Mix Multiple Genres? Most said “It Depends”, with “The More the Better” second. Very few (under 15%) want GTS or AR only. What do you care about in a DreamTales comic? Most want good art, with Method of transformation and a good plot second. Favorite artist? Yuan and Bojay were the favorites, with Palcomix third. What Characters Do You Want to See More Of? Of the existing characters, Yard Work is still the favorite. But most respondents want new characters. And a majority still wants to see more Suzy and Marilyn, and Betsy and Lauren comics. What Plot Type Do You Prefer? Results strongly favored the slow, detailed “Yard Work” style plot over lots of transformations. Favorite AR theme? From best to least liked: Female AR, Female AP, Humiliation, Male AR. Diapering was the least liked. What things do you want to see in a GTS / SW comic? Most want more detailed process – only 25% want more sex. Giantess and SW: What Sub Genres Do You Like? Mini-Giantess was the winner, with Shrinking Men second. Not too many were interested in muscle growth. Any other questions or comments, please let me know below or through the contact form. Thanks to everyone who took the poll! |

Re: DreamTales Comic Survey
I personally think you should probably lay off including GTS with AR/AP material, but that's probably me. I tried to answer as such lol. Attribute theft is one of my guilty pleasures lol, I like it quite a bit over anything else. I think some people don't know what that is though. The audience for BE seems to still be pretty big and dominating. There's tons of material out there for that market and it's nearly saturated.
But this, THIS is what confused me greatly. "Most said “It Depends”, with “The More the Better” second. Very few (under 15%) want GTS or AR only." The hell? Weren't we just having this giant huge discussion not to long ago about NOT mixing GTS/SW and AR/AP? and the majority of people discussing and talking about it preferred the opposite of the poll results? Maybe the question was worded wrong? o.0 Something just seems off about that one. Because the prevalent voice as far as I knew on the forums was, don't mix. AR/AP people hate it when you mix those two genre's. Unless I'm part of the minority, but it didn't seem like that several weeks ago during the discussions. Hope we get to see the poll results ourselves here soon, always love sorting through some of that data when you have it. ![]()
