Red face Drawing practice: Growth in chair

Hey people. I've recently been studying and practicing drawing, trying to get better--I never was terrific in the first place, and I broke my hand last year so I hadn't in a while--and this began as an exercise in proper human body proportion. I know it's kinda rough (don't even get me started on the 5-minute background) but it *is* noticeably better than I used to be. I won't get any better if I don't practice, so maybe in a few weeks I'll take a cue from Kricket and set up a brief request thread to give me ideas. In the meantime, check this out and let me know what you think. I'm looking for opinions and criticisms, preferably of the constructive variety.

EDIT: Fixed version. Drawing lines darker, paper lines gone.

Gotta agree with the other two comments. If you're uncomfortable drawing feet, then you can actually go for a trick by having them extend off the 'screen', as it were. Then, get some more practice in, and I'm sure in a short time you'll have them up to the rest of your solid quality of drawing.

I actually thought of that one; I did have a problem getting the foot proportions right. (What it is is that the bodily proportions art guides I found didn't mention it! ) However, I think I've worked it out, and it should be better next time around. Meanwhile thanks for the compliments!

Good. Good your trying also. The foot is kind of off, though. Same with the calfs. Otherwise good. Keep practicing.
