Re: Why is Dracula true to the book, but not Frankenstein?
budthedog is right, TF-Viewer is wrong.
I'm no horror expert, and I NEVER claimed to be such. I'm sure guys like Stephen King, Wes Craven, John Carpenter, Lucio Fulci, Clive Barker and Bruce Campbell know more about horror than me. I just like the genre. If ANYONE here is claiming to be an horror expert, it's you, TF-Viewer. Getting angry about "1408" being considered an horror movie? Getting angry about someone calling that creature "Frankenstein" instead of "Frankenstein's Monster"? Defending George Romero's honor like he was your brother? All of that reeks of desperate horror nerd to me. This is the kind of guy who writes Tales From the Crypt fanfiction and gets angry when people forget "Carrie" was based on a book. |

I think many would think otherwise. With a username like "Hellstromm, Son of Satan" and creating horror threads, you are giving the impression that you are a big fan of horror and are well educated in the genre.

Oh, and Sadie? Try H.P. Lovecraft's written material, but not the movie adaptations. Peruse them at your own peril... |

Claiming that anyone yelled at you or got angry with you when it's impossible to discern those emotions through cold text (and an illogical assumption to make when no all caps, bold text or exclamation points are used) is only an attempt to make it appear that you are a victim of bullying, and you are not that. The only one showing any signs of emotion in his messages here (anger or otherwise) is you. This is the internet, when someone is wrong on the internet people are going to take notice and let that person know about it. I'm not the only person who's pointed out your mistakes, not even just today. Yet I am the only person you have chosen to take issue with. I have no problem with you personally, I simply make observations. You can post about horror all you like, but when you make posts that are so obviously full of misconceptions and inaccurate information people are going to comment on it. Although I have commented on your mistakes more than once, they were never made to "sound" angry, never was I "yelling" at you. You have chosen to attach that emotion to the messages for whatever reason. I'm almost certain that my comment this time will cause a similar effect, you will view this as being angry or that I'm yelling when I'm not. I don't know why you want to think I'm angry with you, or why you'd want everyone else to think I am, but I'm letting you and everyone else know right now, that you're mistaken. Sorry to push the cold pin of rationalism through your balloon of pseudo-rationalistic defense. Boy, that was a bad analogy. |

And you flip flop. And call me jake. Kind of odd.
So you are saying that anyone who disagrees with you is only doing so through their own opinion and perspective, but not you, no you are the only one being perfectly rational here and avoiding all of your prejudices. Do you hear yourself talk? |

No, jake. I'm saying that you are stating your opinion and stating things based on your perception. You know that word right?

Why are you being so literal about this, by the way? Do you hate figurative language? would you be happy if I said "read yourself type?" |

Re: Why is Dracula true to the book, but not Frankenstein?
You haven't riled me, sorry to disappoint you.
edit: I apologize for mistaking you for jake. It's very obvious to me that you are not him now. Earlier I mistook something you said as being similar to something he used to say and given his habit of making alts so frequently I thought you were one of them. I was wrong and I am sorry. Re: Why is Dracula true to the book, but not Frankenstein?
It's perfectly relevant when it's a thread about misconceptions of the monster and/or how the media effects his portrayal to society.
