I'm not here to amuse you. I'm here to understand you, Oh process forum goer. I'm here to understand what it is that makes a passive aggressive community work. To understand your culture, your society, your prejudices. You, for example are an interesting conundrum. You actively write as approximately 5 different posters for no apparent reason. You even have individual personalities for them all. I haven't the slightest why you do it, but it seems to make you happy.

It is difficult to accomplish this without ruffling a few feathers, since a major tenet of this community is "don't make waves" which leads to very little exposition of the general demeanor of people here. Whenever I "troll" as you so like to dismiss opposing arguments with, I actively and vehemently support the position I espouse. The frustration with this differing opinion comes from conformist pressures to maintain a status quo of opinion among it's members. Heterogeneity is not tolerated.

Claiming a position is "absurd" or "detrimental" without any evidence of such a claim is a primary example of the way the belief set of this community is formed. it is not dissimilar to religion, the way certain attitudes about the world are adopted almost without question and opposing viewpoints summarily dismissed.

And, frankly, by stating that, I'm sure plenty of the fine folks here will feel slighted, as though my statements were directed straight at them, and they'll feel the need to correct me, sometimes vulgarly. It is for this reason I like to add the statement But Of Course There Are Obvious Exceptions to the things I say, or some variety of this (using vague terms, like, generally, most, etc.) but it hardly matters. the anger and rage will still be felt even if I were to specify the member "gary stu" in my statements.
