Dang! Just when soty returns to the game, this happens.
To soty:
I know you're still out there, and I know everyone has at least something from the site. I currently have 78 files under your name; I may have been able to recover the comics and many of the uploads from your site, but none of your text-based fics.
If it comes down to it, I will gladly send it to you.

To everyone else, until this little incident passes, we still have Transfur.

Actually we still have GeoCities.Regardless of what people honking the
tf flavoured domains horn say,they've never been particularly stable as a rock.On
the other hand Geocities websites with tsa authors stuff on them are still up and
running a decade after the authors moved on.

The mods over at Docs lab want to close the place up. Some of Soty's work there could spice it up a bit? Otherwise he could always start posting to an FA or DA account (would save him from maintaining a website too)

Not the Story Archive, just the Forum. I've always toyed with the idea of retiring, but if I do, the site will just sit idle. Although, it seems that most people don't want me to retire, even if all I do is cause trouble.

But it IS a good idea. SOTY, if you read this... I'd be more than happy to give your art a home at the Lab, any time you wish. The process is easy enough, just email your art to the address on the Lab's website, and I'll maintain the art at the website for you.

Or, Soty, if you choose, I can just give you my old address, username and password, freedom to do whatever you want, almost unlimited space for free. I'm not using it anymore, so why not give it to someone who needs it?

Lemme know. Email, PM, or a cat is fine too.

Close as anybody can tell BackBurn or whoever is currently
running TFCentral has decided to pull the plug.

WHY?

From observations over the years Backburn was putting TFC and its user sites on
his own server,which costs money.TFC itself became deadwood after Scotty DM's
attempts to revive TFC interest with that anthrofiction contest of his withered
in the wind over the last year or so.

Depending on if the users were paying for their webspace,and when their terms
were coming up,BB might have decided to chuck the rotten deadwood from his
server around now.Or his higher up did it for him,such as the bank calling in the loan.
