Manganese is element number 25 on the periodic table of the elements. Just for clarification.

Who said we don't use science in our daily lives?

I love Dutch. It's German, but not quite...

I just love how it sounds rolling off the tongue.

And when it's spoken, I, as an English speaker, can almost understand it.

You won't believe it, but the reason for that is because at the fundamental level, English is a derivative of Germanic language. Many people mistakenly believe English is a Latin derivative, which just simply is not true. We do indeed use many Latin words, but many of our root words are German in origin. Not to mention that English-speaking peoples (Anglo-Saxons) are actually German peoples that crossed the English Channel thousands of years ago from Central Europe. So we share FAR more in common with the Dutch and the Germans than we do the Spanish and Italians.
