Ghost TG (Offsite)
http://blackshirtboy.deviantart.com/#/d2v6s7q
So for the first time in a while I got an actual original sequence done and wanted to know what you guys thought. Not only of the content but also of the style I've drawn and coloured it in. Is it something I could stick with? Should I immediately go back to the cleaner style I've had of late? Opinions are most welcome!

Re: Ghost TG
Hmm I've never really played Starcraft so I can't say I know much about the subject matter however as far the process goes this was one sexy piece of artwork

For reference, this is how they 'suit-up' a convict who is about to become a Marine.

Re: Ghost TG
Why would you make convicts military personnel?

Re: Ghost TG
They're expenable and no one really cares (which is reflected in the game as they die a lot), they mostly put a lot hardware in their heads designed to suppress their personality 'flaws' and others they just have the suit ridged to kill them if they fall out of line.
The suits are a prison in on themselves as they aren't really made to...well, come off. Last edited by Meh; 07-30-2010 at 10:18 AM. |

Re: Ghost TG
I think you did a spiffy job! I, too, wasn't familiar with Starcraft but after seeing the video I understood the sequence.
I think you did a great job with the layout. The style and coloring look great! Even the paper gives it a textured look. I. Love. Those. Boots. -- LOVE! |

I'm always in favor of clean lines. Rough drawings make me think the artist couldn't be bothered finishing the piece, and I rarely give those a second look.

As for the art style, I like both the neater and rougher styles. I think one style might work better for some pieces than others, but.. yeah. Both is good.
