It's strange; I was thinking of Utena yesterday. I need learn more though because I only read I think one volume and never saw the television version. Utena and Anthy with muscles sounds delightful though.

Actually I thought about Utena the very moment I read the first chapter of Muscle Cuties. The way you describe FMG processes like the most noble and acceptable thing in this world, and the fact that your stories are like anime episodes, brought me to Utena.
And the director of the anime show is the same director of the third season of Sailor Moon, the most mature one

Anyway. Don't read the manga. It sucks. It's a boring love story like many others.
The masterpiece who brought Utena to fame it's the anime. It's a very mature story full of symbolism, abstract references and subtle irony.
And don't forget to watch the anime movie, which is the sequel of the TV anime. Every time I see that movie, I stare in awe. You won't be disappointed by watching it.
