Hey all!

I thought I'd un-lurk to show you guys one of two paid commissions I had done by two very awesome artists.

The first was done by Grycat from Strongandstacked.com. Unfortunatly, he wanted to use it as his weekly update for that site, making it paid content, so I can't post that (unless he sees this and says otherwise). He hasn't uploaded the clip yet, but I believe he has free screencaps on that site as well. Maybe you'll be able to see those later. I don't think he will mind a screenie of a WIP render though, see attached.

The second was done by Anthroanim / Raptoranim from furaffinity. He is currently rendering the finished work, but I thought I'd give you the latest WIP render. It's actually the middle file in a set of 3, but the first is just PE and the third has a huge filesize.

I asked both artist to create a 2-3 minute animation of their characters going, well... massive. Grycat did an awesome job, which I sadly can't show. Anthroanim was able to go quite a bit bigger even. The clip I attached is only about... I'd say 1/50th of the size they are gonna get

I'll update this thread once I've got the finished render (it's long, so it takes ages to render). I hope this makes a decent first-ish post?

PS. If anyone wants to know what I paid for these, ask me in a PM. I don't know if it's polite or not to say out here. I can say it wasn't cheap, but worth every damn penny! I might commission them again if they are up for it, since this really turned out well.

Sure, you can post it there. I'll attach the first demo file, which is just the PE, as well as the last demo which makes them go to their maximum size. It's not for the faint of heart

I didn't want to attach them originally since I didn't know if there would be interest in the PE bit and since its a bit big to post. The total filesize for all three files is about 15Mb, I hope that's not too big?

They are both WIP renders so the rendering quality is a bit low. I'm expecting the final clip any day now, which features more detailed models/textures as well as some terrain and misc. features.

BTW: The files look like .avi but are actually renamed .flv flash files. VLC media player should still play them fine.

Anthroanim has some awesome talent for renders. I watched a live stream of his work, and it was quite interesting to see how it's all done as well the time and effort that goes into making each render and animation.

One a side note, do you post on any of the chans? I'm pretty sure I've seen your name, especially considering the posts/threads were all related to BE.

Nope, don't post on any chans or forum. I'm registered on quite a few BE-oriented places, but rarely (if ever) post. I've actually never posted on a chan, so I guess you've got me confused with someone else.

I haven't recieved the final animation yet, but will post when I do.

That render was a quick sketch render, to make sure he got the general idea for the clip right. It was by no means indicative of the finished work, which I can't post.
I heard from Anthroanim today; the final clip should be ready in a few hours.

Looks like Grycat didn't post the clip after all, only some mid sequence renders. Too bad, I was really looking forward to seeing them grow to that size.

I saw that as well. I've asked him if it'd be alright to post the full clip, since it doesn't look like he'll be posting it to his site. He did post a very similar clip, though that didn't go as big as my commission.

There is a bit of distortion at the end, so perhaps that's why he didn't want to post it.

Edit: I just got the finished animation from Anthroanim!
They go huuuuuge! I'm really happy with how it turned out.
He was going to add a few frames to circle the camera once they were done, but his harddrive went kaboom so he's kinda busy with that at the moment.

Edit 2: I've got permission from Grycat to post the animation, but he's going to touch-up a few details before I post it.

On that note, I'm trying to contact the guy that does 3rd-art.com, but I can't seem to get a response from him (Matrix, I believe) on the email on the website. Would anyone happen to know if he is open for commissions and how to reach him?
