You Transformation History

What made the first sparks that grew into your passion for transformation?

My first experience I can remember quite distinctly. It was a brief moment in the BBC television program version of The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect are thrown out of a Vogon airlock, and just before getting picked up by the heart of Gold they begin to turn into penguins. It wasn't so much a transformation as the suggestion of a transformation, but it was enough. The scene affected me in a powerful way, although I could not explain it at the time. It almost hurt, but it was a wonderful sort of pain, the kind which I would eventually learn to crave. It was the voyeuristic pain of watching another person totally out of control in ways far beyond ordinary understanding. That amazing combination of perfect surprise and total shock. The one transforming also watches as their own transformation unfolds. The bewildering moment of "What's happening to my body?!?"

What first moved you?

The 1980's Incredible Hulk cartoon, the degree of detail in the TFs and the reuse to take up time got my interest, and the She-Hulk episode cemented it. The Catwoman of Channel 6 started to widen things towards animal based TFs as well.

It started off as an interest in breast expansion, then I found Al-Cat's place.
From there it was only a matter of time before I found out about weight-gain art.
Then I saw the "Passion Patties" episode of totally spies.

As for my interest in cat-girls and other kimonomimi, that stems from my belief that cat-ears and tails would look good on cute girls.

As a child in the late 80's and early 90's, I ended up watching a lot of Disney movies, so my first exposure to TF were things like Cinderella, Pinnochio, The Sword in the Stone, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White (yeah, I guess you could argue that Snow White is more of an extreme AP, but at my young age it was akin to watching a beautiful woman become this hideous...creature; I still get the willies thinking about it); I also vividly remember the pig scene in Willow and the various mouse scenes in The Witches. At this point there was nothing sexual about TF: I was terrified when I would watch it, but there would also be this lingering curiosity about what had just happened. Probably the first 'attractive' TF I watched was from an old episode of TMNT, where a pretty college student was somehow exposed to toxic waste and became an anthropomorphic lizard woman. I don't know the name of the character or the episode; I just remember being entranced by her, and wondering if I could change like that.

Muscle growth was probably old reruns of The Incredible Hulk with Lou Ferrigno; I was young enough to ignore the shitty special effects and simply be impressed by the size and bulk of this man. I also remember a very old episode of Tom & Jerry where Jerry mixed a Jeckyl & Hyde formula that turned him into a seething, ridiculously muscular version of himself. Twisted as it sounds, also I vaguely recall a Muppet Babies episode where some the characters turned into huge, hulking, musclebound versions of themselves because they ate a certain bad-smelling porridge.

TG was simple: I started renting anime when I was 15-16, and one of the first things I got was Ranma 1/2.

Body Expansion was also pretty orthodox, as Charlie And The Chocolate Factory was the first thing to really get my attention. However, I do remember a scene in the James Bond film "Live and Let Die" where Roger Moore forced someone (I don't know who; I haven't seen the movie in 12 years, so the details are shaky) to swallow an air bullet, and then pushed them underwater; the person expanded, floated to the ceiling and exploded. Not pretty, but I was fascinated (if extremely disgusted).

BE is kind of weird for me; although I remember watching Leprechaun III at a horror-movie-loving friend's sleepover, the scene in it was too unattractive (and low-budget) to do anything but disturb me. It wasn't until I went to college and had ready access to a computer did I discover BE. I was looking at a big-bust magazine in my room one day and thinking "This is great...but wouldn't it be cool if these girls could actually get BIGGER?". Having this premonition, I went to my computer, searched for 'expanding breasts', and one of the first 3 or so sites that came up was The Process! The rest, as they say, is history.

I was never a fan of shrinking.

Something similar.

Although I can't really remember all the details, what really got me into it was Jungle de Ikou. back around...2000..2001? I think...

I remember seeing an ad for Jungle de Ikou in an issue of Animerica (had Gundam Wing on the cover...yeah, this was right about the time anime was starting to really get big in America...).
At the time of course, horny teen and such, so big breasts = time to look further into this matter.
So, I looked the series up on Anipike and founda little geocites page run by a guy calling himself amahu22 (or something like it) aka Akiokid, akio of the Mansion. On that page there was a link to a website run by him called The Mansion of Midnight Eyes which detailed various big bust anime girls. A little later, he began moving the site onto the BEA. From there I explored quite few things. Everything from Bustartist, to the Rocketeer, to the story vault.
After bumping around on there for a while I somehow came across inflate123's video vault (back when it was still on aol, and free...).
Eventually, I found the process, but I didn't actively engage in anything. The forum at that time was weird and basic. I mostly just treked around the site.
Ranma 1/2 was my ticket to liking TG. But, since I bumped into it alittle further down the road I didn't view TG as really sexual. I viewed as sort of curiosity. it's jsut interesting to see how the character reacts and copes with being in the opposite gender's body.
There were a few other sites along the way, but they were small and died off shortly after finding them or I just can't think of their names right now.

There were a few other encounters when in as much younger. I remember alot of cartoons with inflate/growth/ tf etc. in them. In fact, I vaguely remember playing pretend with characters back when I was 9 or 10. At that time I mostly viewed it as superheroes with powers than as anything sexual.

Also, I never did like furries, but I seem to remember an episode of Rescue Rangers where Dale got some ruby thing that gave him the power to stretch like rubber. I think what I liked about that was sort of the Spider-man aspect. That is, someone with really nothing special suddenly having a strange power and not knowing really what to do with it.

But, even though there were some influences early on, I think my gateway drug to everything was Jungle de Ikou. It contained the two things I like most about the process, growth and BE. Back when I first encountered it, I pretty much liked it only for Mii's huge bust, but now, I enjoy it as fairly entertaining and fun comedy. I really, really wish they'd turn it into a TV series. it has so much potential. Not just for process type stuff, but jsut because it had a fun idea and good characters.

mine was watching saturday morning music videos, and saw the black or white video (coulda sworn there were A LOT more than ~12 morphs in that one), and later got interested in TF after watching the odd bit of late-night anime.

I'm pretty much only into GTS. I find the other kinds of transformation too weird for me.

I can't really pinpoint an exact moment, you know.

One remarkable moment was when I saw the trailer for the Daryl Hannah movie "Attack of the 50 ft. Woman" back when I was younger. I didn't know why or how, but at the moment I felt a strange fascination, like something moving inside me. Unfortunately, I was with my dad at the time, so it was a really awkward moment.

Another one was when I saw the Tina Majorino version of "Alice in Wonderland" on Hallmark Channell.

And when I rented the Disney version for the first time.

My interests were actually sparked by stories about women who gained weight describing their curves... eventually, I lost interest in the "fat all around" and came to settle for big fronts and backs.
