At least there will be more to follow in episode 576!

Re: Growth in One Piece Filler

So let's review:

-2 (admittedly brief) shrink scenes - one where she goes from GTS to doll-size and the other where she demonstrates shrinking to 5 mm, and a great growth scene. She can satisfy both SW and GTS lovers.

-An in-bottle, handheld, attempted micro crush and GTS rampage.

-She has great chemistry with Luffy and the chef (forgot name) loves her no matter what size she is (though I think he's supposed to be a hopeless romantic anyway).

-Weird SFX accompany every size-change.

-She'll be around for at least a few episodes.

-She's hot.

I'll be honest - it's great, essentially a home-run, but for me personally, something, I really don't know what, keeps it from being a grand-slam. And kinda feel bad about it, like I'm being too picky. Did anyone else get that feeling?

Regardless, really interested to see how this plays out.

Best filler ever. This arc is 4 episodes long, so we' re going to see her for other 3 episodes... Hope for other shrink and growth scenes.

Thanks a lot for this! I loved the growth scene in this episode. Very unique. Loved the sound effect they used too. She's already one of my favorite characters.

I just find it funny since it's one of those doujin/size-wish-list things that actually came true. People have been joking/hoping for/writing about a size-changing fruit in One Piece for over a decade, and finally Oda throws one in. Not too surprising really since he seems to like large women as well. Now if she CAN use the fruit on other objects (like the fork/trident) and she somehow uses it on Nami and/or Robin, everyone can just pack it up and go home, heh.

The weird thing about this is that there was already a giant that ate the Mini Mini Fruit... only it was a male... and he was the host of one of the Japan-released-only PS2 party videogames.

The poor sap just got retconned out of existence by a muuuuuch hotter character XD

It's odd that her clothes remain intact and the fork changes size when Luffy's ability is capable of doing similar things but it breaks his clothes.

I'm not too sure if she can grow/shrink other people since it is a lot like Luffy's ability and he isn't really capable of making them stretch. Though other fruits like Ivankov's steroid ability and Shiki's levitation ability can be used on other objects and sometimes people.

Best case scenario is there's a reverse ability fruit similar to Law's ability being a slight reverse of Buggy's (Buggy can split himself into different pieces, Law can swap and mess up other people's body orientation). So there could be a canonical character later that can grow/shrink others!

Otherwise, I am really enjoying this filler more than I should thus far.

Obviously the reason for this is because we'd see the show's rating go up higher if they added mature content into it due to the effects of the fruit. This isn't the first time though, as we seen plenty of fruit users whose clothes "merged" with their ability. Special mention goes to Logia users, though I'm sure I don't need to explain that one.

Re: Growth in One Piece Filler

Hoping I'm not a buzzkill, but I'm curious how she'll do a proper GTS attack on the navy is she can't swim: maybe she'll wreck a ship, then hop to the next one while the first sinks? Also, I have the feeling the "Luffy can survive her growing inside him" comment is a Chekhov's Gun: now that they've said it, they'll have to use it...which is kind've gross if you think about it.
