I tend to get too emotionally involved in these. I lost all sympathy for the girl when she could see her friend turn and leave crying, and then just smile about what she'd done to her. They should have solved the issue and then left her alone to consider how she humiliated her "friends" for years to satisfy herself. Friends don't do that, and the ones that do no longer have the right call themself a friend. They lose that right.

...I feel very strongly on the subject of betrayal, and people who seem to think they have the right to exploit other people without consequence. It was a well defined BE process and a decent story, but I couldn't get past that. That selfish bitch deserved to lose her friends for what she put them through.

You make a good point. What Moira did was very selfish and her friends suffered because of it, but is that all there is to it?

Let's think about what her friends did in the story. They began the story as best friends, and as long as they were all around the same bra size there wasn't any problem. When Moira becomes bigger than all of them and they haven't grown at all, they start avoiding her. They don't know what she's done, so they're avoiding her out of envy.

Wouldn't you say that Elsie, Lizzie, Donna, and Jen were being very poor friends as well?

at first they were happy for her, but after awhile she started lording it over them with all her new swimsuits, and inviting them over ot show off. That's when they started avoiding her. IT had become clear that she wasnt sympathetic to them and their plight, and so they fell apart. She had no empathy for them, and that kind of thing shows. And it still doesnt change that kind of bitch she became. I'm gonna point back to her friend turnign away crying nad her being virtually unconcerned and happy with her own chest. She knew what she had done to them, and not once did she feel apologetic. She only got remorseful when it came back to bite her in the ass.

Also, to be clear, I like the story, I just hate that one character for the type of person she was presented as. I think the story itself was good. I like hte description of hte growth, the way it was broken up, and hte reactions from other cahracters. I jsut hate the type of person that can be so horrible and still think she can get away with calling herself a friend. It's personal >_>

No worries! I didn't think you were putting down the story (thank you for the compliments, by the way ). I was surprised by your reaction to Moira's character, though I realize, as you said, that it's a personal thing for each reader.

I've simply never had a reaction this strong before.

That is a good point ^_^ THe best part of writing is the ability to elicit an emotional response.

I really liked the story, I had been hoping to see a chapter 5 of no trade backs but this was great, it was short but not too short and I'm glad it worked out for everyone in the end. I've had a similar story idea in my head for a while but never been able to really flesh it out.
