State of paid content

Ok, I get that this is a niche fetish so I can't be expecting much...but...

paid content seems really bad lately. am I just snobby and expecting too much? I remember some old free content that seems to have more heart in it. The dialog was better, the characters seemed more believable, the reactions seemed to fit and the actions taken were more human.

Now it just seems like the art is better, but everything else is worse. Others opinions? or am I just blinded by nostalgia goggles, and thinking the first growth stuff I seen was the best? Or maybe I'm just outgrowing growth in general i dont konw.

Re: State of paid content

From a SW stand point we haven't had any pure SW in almost a year it's always mixed with GTS or BE. It seems like artsts want to put in as many different fetishes as possible in a comic to maximize profit. I understand they want to make money and SW is a small group. but I have noticed the stories have suffered with trying to put as much possible in them. Not to say I'm not grateful to all the artests out there. I love all the stuff I've purchased keep up the great work.

I'm with you, although I'm not sure how much of it is nostalgia like you say. I'm don't know that anything will ever quite live up to seeing a professional-level artist draw growth for the first time.

I think a large part of the problem is the writers. They are either: A) commissioning their own unedited content or B) getting paid abysmally compared to the artists that are commissioned. It's kind of hard to speak generally about this, but I do feel that the overall quality of writing has dropped. Still a lot of stuff that I enjoy coming out though so I shouldn't complain too much

Definitely Nostalgia Goggles at work, but there has also been an upswing in non-fans doing the kind of fetishes we like the last few years. Missa is a good example of that AND of what ideally we'd like to see, producers reaching out to our market so to speak.
