Re: Bitten trailer

This series will change the werewolf movies in generally and will launch the archetype of the female werewolf, up to now rather ignored or left of the second floor.

Or it will be a one shot that will never be lived up to again.

It's not like this is the first TV series to have a female werewolf as the lead character. Remember "She-Wolf of London"? That didn't exactly start a trend, this won't either. You are seriously setting yourself up for a huge disappointment.

As for the nudity talk, guys, c'mon. You could see her ass in the trailer, that's what they're referring to in the interviews, they say as much. That is likely going to be the extent of it since it's also going to be aired on SyFy and it would save them time editing nudity out for a separate airing in the U.S if they kept it to just the occasional ass shot. It will be more than we saw in the U.S version of Being Human but less than you'll see on True Blood. I think that's a good balance to have, less nudity than True Blood, but with better TFs, more nudity than Being Human (US) ... and also with better TFs.

It is exactly my point of view of what we will see on the show. I must add that it will be much more than what we ever had... Anyway, there is still much room for enhancement: personally, I believe that there are a couple of things to show that really need some "extra" skin to be shown: breasts change, legs and feet on all fours, a general view in the middle of the transformation, or even the "horrified sight of the changing hand" depicting not only the hand and the face, but also the changing chest... one can go through the fantastic pictures made by the people of deviantart, or our own artists here to see what could be done. Yep, and I didn't say anything about tails... my bet is that you are not going to see one in mid-transformation .

As SOON as I saw your comment, TRC, I had to help a fan out and create strength in numbers. I'm all for well orchestrated clothes rippage!

If someone knows of a show on SPACE that has shown nudity, please enlighten us, and I'll back off my comments.

Edit: Did my own research. Seems Canada's cable is more awesome than America's. Nudity is apparently allowed only if it is non-sexual in nature. So, we could very well see some nudity in the Canadian version, only for it to be edited out in the American version, making me only half-right. Good job, Uncle Sam. Everyone hoping for some tits had better find a download link for the Canadian version, instead of waiting for the premier on SyFy.

..........Doesn't want to see a man's penis in any way, shape, or form.

LOL! Sorry. No offense, but I couldn't resist.

I also would pass on any bare ass guy scenes too.

Re: Bitten trailer

If it's allowed they don't make use of it, up here, maybe it's just because it's hard to clarify what is non sexual (it's like how technically prostitution is legal up here but can't be solicited in public, of which your car is considered. So no street walking. Email and phones though are considered private so escort services with a little extra is completely legal. also brothels are illegal. So it's legal but the restriction make it less lucrative. Sorry to ramble just thought that was the best example of how it may work). Though I have noticed a few prime time shows using fuck recently so maybe the CRTC lazed up recently.

I did not say that this is the first series with female werewolves because you do the mental movie?

I have already spoken, and I'm sure of what I read about it and what I said. If you do not like this series, or does not satisfy you, or you have to find always the downside of principle, do not write, please.

Please enjoy your minimally-censored version and find ways to share it with those of us who live in a country with censors that do not value expression over conformity.

And should you choose to do so, please refrain from categorizing those of us who must cope with ultra-conservative asshats as the same people who cannot believe nudity will ever be televised. It's insulting to have our concerns with the enforcement arm of the status quo brushed aside as if these were not real things that can get producers in real trouble. Prisons and fines are not figments of the imagination.

Re: Bitten trailer

Also this journalist of color seems like a nice she-wolf. Apart from joking, Laura Forever.

Guys, have you noticed how are very beautiful the Canadian women suddenly?

Guys, keep an eye on the output of: Crying Wolf (Tony Jopia), When Animal dream (Jonas Arnby), She Wolf ( Alex Topaller and Dan Shapiro), Penny Dreadfull (maybe have a female werewolf), Hemlock Groove season 2, Being Human US (the only one, I hate the british version) season 4...

I can give you answers for all of them, supporting my opinions in what has happened before (but yes, these are just my predictions though):

-Crying wolf: not a single line about female werewolves.
-When animals dream: european non british, so some chances of non censorship. In the other side, the werewolf character is a bit too young to be "eligible".
-She wolf: the conclusion from the trailer and photos is that the she wolf is a kind of "illusion" or dream, in line with what they did with Jack and Diane.
-Penny Dreadful: yes, I see some chances here, even being british. Both Billie Piper and Eva Green are good candidates, specially the second as long as she has done some nude work before.
-Hemlock grove: I don't think they will repeat the formula of the she-wolf. And the result with the skin-ripping and lack of detail in what had to be the climatic scene of the show was plain awful.
-Being human: they are not going to do a more detailed Nora TF than her first, because they don't need to. And they are not going to add more werewolves without reason, now that Josh has real big problems. Btw, I prefered, by far, how the werewolves were treated in the UK version... even in Becoming Human the Christa character had great potential (sadly wasted, as usually).
