Missing Author
Apologies if this should be in the "request" thread, I didn't know if it should.
I used to avidly read stories in Deviantart by an author named "l3reacl", he was German, I believe, and wrote excellent stories. He then randomly posted that he wasn't going to post any more after he finished his current projects, and then his account disappeared...along with his stories! Does anyone know what happened, and if the stories are available anywhere else? If the author name doesn't ring a bell, some titles are "Snow Boobs", "Mammary Mentality", "Breaking the Writer's Block", "A Special Treat", and many others.

Re: Missing Author
Unfortunately he stepped out of the BE scene for good. I messaged him about it and he said he was done writing. As for his account and stories; I guess when he said he was done, he really meant he was done

Re: Missing Author
Used to be a frequent stop of DA. An absolute favorite writer, despite certain describing words getting overused as all hell, he still manged to make worthwhile stuff actually happen in each story (whether in parts or one-shot). Even with his process fanfictions, I can't stand it when the writer is TOO eager to write a story and just slap some characters' names on it. Sure the BE is there, but failing keep people in character is a huge peeve of mine, and he ALWAYS nailed it perfectly.
He will be missed ;_; Last edited by Chopperman; 02-04-2014 at 10:56 PM. |

Re: Missing Author
If we had stories of his would it be okay to share them? He did have the "download" availability on his deviantart page, or would it be considered not kosher since he has since removed them?

Re: Missing Author
His DA is gone, but there is still some stuff of his up on writing.com. He doesn't do anything there anymore either, but it's not gone.

One of his stories was just recently posted on Overflowingbra.com: True Love Only Grows

Re: Missing Author
This opinion won't sit well, but that was a really shitty thing to do. Dude took down the DA account and pulled the stories for a reason. Sounds a lot like they don't want them floating around on the Internet.

Re: Missing Author
I'm going to hide the post with his work for the moment. If anyone can get word from the author that it's okay to post their stories, I'll take the message off 'unapprove' status.

Re: Missing Author
Not saying it's right, but practically speaking once you post stuff publicly on the internet you should expect not to have that much control over it. Once it's out there that's it.. there's no undo button. The internet doesn't forget unfortunately. I don't think enough people these days really understand this. (See social media in general for example.) Hopefully the authors okay with it being posted but I fear that the die is cast already.
