Which is Clearer: Transformation or ANIMAL Transformation?

I know it's been standard since the site opened but I wondered if anyone else thinks like me:

Transformation applies to everything done here and that section currently labeled transformation should be called Animal or Anthro TF.

Really looking more at newer members/younger members with this one.

Nah, man

Transformation is fine. As it stands, the major forums each have their own familiar acronym. AP/AR, BE, GTS, SW, TG and TF. No one calls it ATF because no one has to.

I think it would be an unnecessary addition and only serve to marginalize TF by bringing it down to the level of the other categories. Yes, it does apply to everything. Frankly, the others are subsets of TF. The real meat of The Process is found on the bones of werewolves, the dramatic fantastic that gives life to the more mundane, specialized areas.

I like seeing "Transformation" and knowing why it's there, what it means. It's just subtle enough, I think. Not deep or confusing, like an inside joke that everyone gets if they hang around at all.

Heh! You and me ain't newbies, right Snow? But TF is Oh-k, but maybe we could put a more obvious subtitle. I agree the whole site is about the process of transformation.

Now, some newbie should answer.

((I wonder if Vicky is going to join after all! ))

Animal transformation is obviously clearer. Most of use know what it means, though, so really a mod call I think

Re: Which is Clearer: Transformation or ANIMAL Transformation?

Transformation is fine as it is. Changing it to "animal transformation" isn't a perfect solution to clarify it further because there are transformations in that category that aren't exactly "animals". Monsters and demons aren't animals, but they're not for "everything else". "anthro transformation" doesn't work for multiple reasons; not all TFs result in 'anthros' being the biggest issue. The most accurate title would be "creature transformation" as that's more all encompassing, but I'm still not in favor of changing it. If the problem is some people getting confused and putting TG stuff into the TF section well that's just going to happen occasionally.

We will not be changing the name of the Transformation forum. I think the forum description speaks for itself loud and clear.
