If you like to know, SoylentOrange, that's suppose to be my avatar-self with both different genders. And so far, that's the best version of my avatar-self I've seen so far. The best part was how the Puertorican clothes came out. Again, thank you for drawing the pic. I can't wait for the next one.

I have to say that Joshua did a great job on Geil-Ling. If i had the money i might just request to have a female character of mine created aswell.
On a related topic, i have just found a new program based on Mugen called ShugenDo. It has loads of features including online play, but most modes arent working yet. It can run Mugen characters to a degree. I hope to fight up against some of you soon. http://www.sakirsoft.com/ Last edited by microme125; 05-03-2007 at 04:32 PM. Reason: adding a link |

Okay, I have officially no clue how I end up in these situations...anyway, long story short, friend of a friend asked a big favor of me, and I kinda ended up getting talked into dropping by. Name's Kung Fu Man, Ash to friends, and from the mugen community, pleasure to meet y'all. Anyway, um, guessing you're aware of the community's guidelines with stuff (don't use coding/sprites from another creator without permission etc etc etc) so er...you have any questions about coding, ask?
Noticed you were low on spriters, problem is...so are we, all around. @_@; Plus there's the variable of if these characters are hentai based (i.e. bare boobs of doom vs clothed), as most spriters tend to stick to non-outright-h stuff (and most mainstream forums won't allow annoucning of stuff that's pure hentai, though stuff like Akira from the Viper games ends up tame enough simply because she's clothed). Okay I sound like I'm preaching here, but mainly giving you a heads up as to what you can expect if you post your stuff over there. Well, like I said guess if you have any questions, feel free to ask. |

Thank for showing your interest, Kung Fu Man. And yes, my characters will most likely to be hentai, mostly Grape and Lisa's Blooddlust form. As for Geil-Ling, it might happen since I might have to use her milk diet side-effect as a victory pose or her muscle growth from channeling her chi into them would cause clothes ripping or at least tightening. For my avatar-self, he's safe from the h-stuff I don't plan to do use anything like that for him. Overall, I'm only posting these sprites at communities where hentai is allowed like in Tetchi's Mugen site at MGBR.net. Overall, I'm just trying collect sprites of my characters. If I were to work on a full fledge MUGEN character, I have to find a sprite artist who is able to do them and has a style that would fit for them. Besides, I posted this thread in the BE section because I might sprites related to theme. Haven't gotten any yet but I'm expecting two of Grape by Joshua. He's the same artist who did the sprites posted here. Anyway, I don't mind having more help on this. Let me know what you think.

Again, no update yet but I might have found another good sprite artist. His name is Warner. Found out abotu his work after watching a MUGEN video about Homer vs. Peter Griffin and he made those characters. Here's the link to his site.
http://www.freewebs.com/warner12/index.htm I'm amazed on how he did those sprites. I especially love the video game girls in bikini and the varied sprites of characters from different series, especially Ippo Makunoichi from Hajime no Ippo. Again, I haven't given up on this project just yet. Its just hard to find artists who are available and able to do my characters. I will still have MemoPad do them when I finish getting certain pics from him. In the meantime, I will wait for a response from Warner to see if he's interested in doing my characters. |

Okay, if we got KFM coming here to give advice, I might as well give some pointers here as well.
Warner is a good creator. He's probably one of (I think) only two creators these days that release characters with totally custom sprites. The gameplay in his characters could use a little re-tooling, in my opinion, but his works are of overall good quality. And I don't want to preach, either, but what tacosauce is doing is technically what we call "warehousing." Long story short: don't send out full games with collections of characters from different creators. We frown heavily upon that stuff. Anyway, if you want to start actually making the characters anytime soon, I personally would suggest using the character "Kung Fu Man" (which is open source, provided by Mugen's original creators, and is provided with the basic download of the Mugen engine here) and just use him as a base, for what we call "sprite swapping." From there on out, you can use tutorials available from RandomSelect and Mugen Fighters Guild to add more complex stuff if you wish. I look forward to a possible future release! I'm probably not speaking for the rest of the community, since I personally do enjoy certain forms of female process. But don't let that discourage you. There have been weirder things released for Mugen over the years. |

A new Grape Sprite is up!
Heyo! I know you guys are tired of these zombie threads but I finally gotten a new update on the sprites. Warner just finished his first try on Grape. He had a great time working on her and he promised to do more. Love to hear your thoughts on this. Please and thank you.

Just a question... Mugen is a fighting game thing no? All the sprites you've shown are stills, will they be animated - quite boring otherwise.

I think it looks pretty good, but the question is, are you satisfied with it?

Hey, first post, and its a question...
Anywho, GDAD is this guy doing sprites by commission? I've got a character or two I wouldn't mind seeing him doing. If you could drop me his contact info that'd be great. As well as the other guy who did the sprites of Bloodlust Lisa, Grape and Geil Ling. I think his name was Joshua or something... but anywho, if you could be so kind as to let me know if these guys do sprite commissions or more, I'd be ever thankful. I really like their work and I wouldn't mind hitting them up for a little business. Thanks! ![]() Oh and the sprites look awesome by the way! Can't wait to see more. Animated too if possible! I'm goign try to answer eveyrones questions who posted after the new sprites I uploaded.
Denny: MUGEN is fighting game engine program that lets you make fighting games from the gorund up, evne let you use sprites from other games. For now, I can only stick for stills since that's all I've been getting so far. Joshua can't do any animations since he doesn't have the time to do so. As for Warner, it is possible for him since he did those MUGEN characters of Homer Simpson and Peter Griffin but we'll see what happens if he decided to do animated sprites of my characters. Murasashi: Yes, I am satisfied with them since the artists worked so hard on them. Warner is most likely to be the best candidate so far for my characters since he has done MUGEN characters before and many people love his work. N8 Dogg: So far, the only one doing commissions is Joshua. He did some of the mini bosses for GBA's Sigma Star. Also he is definitely in need of work since he is at a desperate time. It won't be a surprise if his prices for sprites comes steep. As for Warner, he did Grape as a request since he was very interested in my characters. As much as he would love to do commissions, I don't think he has the time to do so yet. He did Grape because he love her design and wanted to try her out. But I can provide you Joshua's contact information if you're still interested. I'll send it to you by pm. Just let him know I sent you. |
