No I don't think you'll be a day late but unless everyone blew their shrinking scroll load on me that's gonna be it.

Drat, and here I was hoping I wouldn't get my head blown off by those stupid neck rings. Oh well, moving to 44.

Looks like it's up to me, and according to Kricket this is legit. I use my scroll on Melk, pick up the item I found in my current location, and move to 38. If I reach higher than 50' with this one, I'll use the my item.

Ok, Indigo finds a random item of randomness, randomly increasing her height to 51'7"!

Lorekeep has been saving a scroll with a shrink spell on it, she now casts it on Melkorios, shrinking Melk to 35'5!

Lore then picks up a teleportation device she finds in this room, then goes on to explore more of the facility in the next hex. Here she finds another strange machine with 2 buttons. One labeled big, another labeled small. Naturally Lore hits Big! And big she gets, shooting up to 56'5"

Lore activates her teleportation device, setting its destination for the Exit.

Lore is now at the exit! Lore kicks Melk out of the way and activates the device!

No one has an available move, so the day ends and the machine activates.

All around the island the necklaces start beeping and beeping faster and faster until they reach a long tone. And suddenly..

"Gotcha!" a voice says from the neckpiece, followed by hysterical laughter!

A giant trap door opens beneath Lore and she falls down, down the rabbit hole. Not to be seen until Vertical Limit 3: Wonderland.

Thanks for playing everyone, hope you had fun! VL3 wont start for a while, I still want to do some sketches of this group and then take a break.

Lorekeep totally lucked out at the end. Hexes 27, 38, 39 and 51 are one giant complex, each hex having a different weapon.

Hex 38 had a shrink ray rifle. 40% reduction, 6 hex range.
Hex 39 had a height transfer ray. 20%, 6 hex range.
Hex 51 had a shrink land mine! I really wanted to see this one played. You place it on an adjoining hex then run away. Someone steps on it and kablooie! them and everyone near them gets shrunkled.

Final Score:
Winner: Lorekeep 56'5"
Vixen: 56'11"
Indigo: 51'7"
Dartnet: 51'
Melkorios: 35'5"

Nice one there Lorekeep, you snatched the win with one heck of a combo attack.

I'll look forward to seeing the rest of the art for this round, and seeing what lies in store for the next batch of contestants.

Well played! It does take an element of luck to come out on top in these games. At least I can take some consolation in coming out on top of the height chart (for what it's worth).

Looking forward to seeing the sketches you come up with, Kricket.

And good luck to you in the next game, Lorekeep, but I hope you get your butt kicked!

Congrats Lore! Looking forward to squaring off against you in the third game.

Great job, Kricket. Take your time, you've been putting in a lot of work and deserve a break.

Wow. That was a great round. I really, REALLY hope I can get into Vertical Limit 3. I want to do Wonderland so badly.

The player lists for the 3rd and 4th contest were filled while we were still playing the 1st one, I somehow doubt you're going to find a way in. I have a hunch that Kricket could get sign-ups for another 4 if he allowed it.
