Try and find someone still working at Disney today who thinks that. As I said, it *was* a failure, but later came into its own. Sadly, after Walt passed away.
The Disney version of Alice is the version 90+% of americans think of when they hear the name Alice in Wonderland. And from the wiki Quote:
The wiki later quotes Ward Kimball, animator, who considered it a failure due to too many directors on the film. But I gotta wonder if that quote was taken before or after it's re-release and rise in popularity. Besides, movie companies rarely remake "failures". They try to forget them. Whats that say about Alice?
