Nah, if you could time travel, the world will move on with your child self feeling a bit more self-confident in life while you're struggling to get back to your inexistent time due to not passing Theorhetical Metaphysics 2123. Well, that's how it'd go for the 5-dimensional Euclidean model anyways.

Time is not a single line. Time is not composed of multiple lines. It is an infinite fractal of the universe at its current state and the immediate possible subuniverses it will link to within the span of a hex. The child nodes are all different, unless time travel becomes involved, in which the nodes quantum entangle on the temporal axis with each other and allow synchronization of their states.

Also, when time-traveling be careful to account for Earth's Orbit and rotation when calculating your Universal Spatial Coordinates and Temporal Offset, whether you travel into the past OR future. Trust me, you can't get any friction trying to get the Delorean to 88 mph in empty space. Finally, don't listen to Hawking's BS, Black Holes are only going to turn you into fuel for the baby universes they'll create.

I will not be held responsible for any attempts at actual time travel. Seriously, it's impossible. If you try to travel to the past, you'll just undo your usage of the machine, let alone its creation. Time travelling to the future is much safer, but make sure that you don't disintegrate when achieving hyperluminous velocity.
