Is my art that bad? o.O

People are probably responding to the way the eyes are drawn. In the first two I think the combination of eyelashes and the way the light (or the white, for the first picture) kind of cuts across the iris makes the eyes look unsettling. Also the more detailed textures are a bit at odds with the more stylized proportions (the big eyes, in particular.)

In comparison, the last picture looks good, because the clean lineart fits the stylized proportions and the eyes don't have the extra detail that makes them look unsettling.
