Shapeshifting/Melting?

While I'm mostly an SW fan myself, I have a small interest with shapeshifting, in which the body is capible of becoming liquid and can take on any shape or form allowing all forms of transformation to occur. What draws my attention is the transformation into a liquid form

to be specific, a few years back I saw some kid's show where a girl is accidently exposed to some biohazard material and it endows her with stange abilities among which is the ability to revert to a liquid state. The first time she experiances this in the first episode shortly after exposure, she had not yet figured out how take any physical objects with her, resulting in her melting out of her clothes and rematerializing on the opposite side of the room completely naked, unfortunatley because it was a G-rated show you only see her from the neck up for a few seconds, but the power of imagination can fill in the blanks.

Is there anyone who shares interest in this form of TF and could point me in the direction of any sites, forums, media, art, etc. on the subject?
