BESC Comic Contest 2008

[Prophet Tenebrae]

So, here we are again...

This year there will be five judges. Myself - naturally, Miss Chievous - of infamy, resident artist of BE Avenger and general French person ryohji, GIJohn from the BEA and... THE MYSTERY JUDGE! Whose identity will remain a secret until the results are announced... Actually, it's all around comic drawer and Britain's captain Awesome, Manic.

The contest is for writing a script...

Prizes:

All the good scripts will be illustrated... and the three placing entries will get a years subscription to the BEA and BESC.

Rules:

1. Entries should be made in increments of 10 pages.
2. Naturally, they should be BE-centric but that does not preclude other transformations.
3. Entries must be written in a comic style - that is to say, each panel must be described with around 3 sentences and the dialogue.
4. Entries must be submitted to prophet.tenebrae@gmail.com by September 21st.
5. Normal BESC terms and conditions apply.

Advice I have for people who may not have written comic scripts before... Think of it like directing a film, you've got to have the story but also know where things are going - expressed in the simplest but most articulate terms. Don't treat it as prose.
