Those Know-it-All, D-Bag Friends

Anyone here know someone, friend or associate, who acts like he/she knows EVERYTHING; and admits to never being wrong?

Last night, the dumbest of stupid arguments occurred while playing D&D. My DM/friend was explaining to me the definition of "adamant". And, while doing so, as if I were either a child or an ignorant retard. And, I could tell he looked it up; for he had laptop in front of him, and he spoke out its exact meaning. Before and after the explanation, I kept saying it meant, "Strong as sh*t." (not literally, but you know what I mean (I had a bad headache then))

Me and anyone else without an ego the size of my friend's would say we were both right about the meaning, but he wouldn't admit it; and was contempt that I was 100% wrong. What scares me is that he's going to be a father soon. I felt sorry for his soon-to-be daughter the moment I found out.

Last note of venting: He had the gall to correct me about Christian Bale being John Conner in the new Terminator film while we were watching the friggin' trailer at the theater. I knew this about two months before, AND I told him one month prior to watching said trailer.

I'd knock the guy stupid... But he's a friggin' ogre compared to me.
