Transformers was another movie I wish never happened because of being stuffed to high-hell with love-stories and human-drama like some soap-opera turducken. Never saw 'Revenge of the Fallen' nor 'Dark of the Moon' , so can't say anything about them. But to paraphrase VGCats, it was basically "Dawson's Creek" with guest cameos by the Transformers.

Even though it'll more than likely be addressed in the sequel, like you say, I was kind of disappointed that nothing more came about the virus in Rise of the Apes. In lesser hands, it would have definitely appeared to have been a wasted plot point.
And I will occasionally watch the first Transformers movie...with Rifftrax. Rifftrax makes anything better and/or tolerable.
