Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Season 2

Does any one know of the whereabouts or if there is a 2nd season because after the 1st one was so excited and I heard that there might be a 2nd season. So if anyone finds anything like a clue or something that could lead to some actual footage would you tell me so I can see it if there actually a second season.

Well with a lot of series you get a first season and only much later will 2nd season come.
You can be fairly certain that there will be a 2nd season, since there are still stuff from the manga/graphic novel that could be shown in the anime.
It's only a matter of time. Just like you heard rumors of Diablo 3 and what not, it will come just be patient.

A 2nd season is in the works but it will be sometime before it crosses the pacific seeing as how the 2nd season is suppose to start in airing in the Japan this April.

Hmm rly now, that's odd considering how popular Haruhi I would expect a message on something like youtube or a trailer etc. But then again maybe it's delayed in Japan, only time will tell.

I heard that the delay was because the guy who did season 1 quit or was fired, I'm not sure which.

I'm really excited for season 2, especially since I just got into Haruhi, such a good anime!

I can understand why you would have doubts about this seeing as how there is no news online about it my source comes from a friend and huge haruhi fan living in Japan. According to him the second season should start sometime next year in April but after noticing the month i now have a feeling this may be a bad april fools joke i of course hope it is not since i am a fan of haruhi to in fact i have the special edition melancholy of haruhi suzumiya game for the wii preordered.

I just wish they'd officially make the TG'ed version (Kyon-ko and co) as a season, ya know! XD

THAT I do not support in the least.
As much as I like Kyonko, think of Genderbent Haruhi and Miharu's relationship.
It'd be for yaoi lovers and be very disturbing.
