I don't hate "The Dark Knight", the movie itself. I love it. It's not the greatest movie ever, or even the greatest comic book movie ever. It's just a very good movie. I enjoyed it a lot. Ledger is not the greatest Joker ever, but he is still a very good Joker (for what is worth, he is a better Joker than Kevin Michael Richardson). And there is no doubt in my mind that Aaron Eckhardt is the best live action Two Face.

So, I don't hate the movie itself. What I DO hate is the retarded fanboys/imdb users who think the Nolan movies are the prime source for the character, who over-rate and over-hype the movie to the point of ridiculness and who feel the need to spit on the hard work of Mark Hamill, Jack Nicholson, Tim Burton and Richard Moll.

I personally thought that Eckhardt geve a better performance than Ledger. But that could be just me.

There is NOTHING more mature and adult right now that Batman comic books. "The Dark Knight" does NOT make Batman comic books"kiddie", as it's the comics and ONLY the comic books the main point of reference for Batman.


3-Jack Nicholson played the Joker. Stop denying it. He played a GOOD Joker (good enough to warrant an Oscar nomination, no less). In my opnion, he was even better and more true to the comics than Ledger.

I couldn't agree more! I was so disappointed in this movie & just a little pissed when I left the theatre. Don't get me wrong - I like it dark, but this was dull dark and boring. The last 30 mins (out of a 2 1/2 hour movie) was the most interesting but it wasn't all that either.

I think "Transformers" blows The Dark Knight outta the water. I've watched Transformers like 20 times at least, it's just that good & I don't understand how The Dark Knight has gotten more notoriety than it has especially when comparing the special effects, characters, and story lines.

Yep, Jack Nicholson was/is the BEST Joker ever, hands down & the producers should go back to that era of the Batman movies. It was fun & kept ya wanting more.

I personally hated Nicholsons Joker as it was a little too corny. I actually laughed harder at the jokes in Dark Knight. Though I liked Transformers, I do not feel that it is anywhere near Dark Knight, especially as far as characters and story lines. I personally feel that the Nicholson era of Batman movies was boring and unimaginative. It defenitely was not fun to me and it did not keep me wanting more, no matter what you claim.

That being said I prefer movies like No Country for Old Men, To Have and Have Not, Blood Simple, etc. I have trouble believeing that you like things dark.

And the guy who played twoface out shone Ledger in my opinion.

Hi thejakeman I dunno, guess there's no accounting for taste, but yeah I really like The Transformers. One thing in particular that impressed me were the facial POV shots of the machine characters when they were communicating with the kids....for me it made them more 'real'. I'm not saying it's the best movie ever made but I like it way better than The Dark Knight.

I think if TDK had more action and less drama it would have been better.

i thought tdk was long enough that it managed to get enough of both in.


transformers might have been better for me if it didn't have the stupid stock love story and shia lebouf, who is my newest least favorite actor after owen wilson.

i think the problem is more that they're both character actors. shia is always the rebellious but clueless teenager and owen is always the loser that you hate to love.

Yeah, The Wedding Crashers was another good one. I thought Wilson was tolerable & not so detracting in it thanks to Vince Vaughn.

My 6 yr old nephew wanted to see TDK but my sis wouldn't take him. It's kinda sad that Batman has gotten so adult rated.
