While Robert is shrinking at his office, Rachel tries her luck at modeling again.

Awesome. Was worried you had gotten bored with it, but I can see you were hard at work with a new set and models. Very, very cool with the four women.

5 people in one scene was actually VERY hard to do. Instead of 4-5 minutes to save a .daz file, it took around 30! So if I wanted to fix something, it was 30 minutes just opening it, and another 30 to save it. And that's without redering! (I render at night with a batch file, so I don't care how long that takes, but opening and saving files was really a problem).

Not to mention the crashes I had, which were much more often than with smaller scenes.

I think I'll try to avoid big scenes like this in the future, and only use 2 or 3 poeple at a time. I have one planned scene with 4 people, I hope it won't be as bad as 5...

Hey DD -- good stuff so far. What app are you using to create the dialogue balloons? Also, I do not know you Photoshop (or other image editor) skills, but if you have a number of people in a scene (and they are not entwined), you could set-up 2 files: one with foreground people and one with background people. Make sure the camera is set to the same angle, direction, and the like. Then, composite the 2 renders. This may help.

They often do cast shadows on each other, so I don't know if that would work. Also, I'd probably need to swap people beween the files several times, because no one stays in the background all the time.

That reminds me - does anyone know if I can swap figures between files, including all the textures and morphs? This is important because I don't remember exactly what textures and morphs I applied to each character, and I want to avoid comment like "hey, didn't she used to have bigger boobs?"...

What I do is when I make a character i do it in a separate scene so that i can import that character into any comic that I'm making. IF you didn't do this already it's easy to just delete everything accept for that character and save that scene under the character's name.
