Re: The Haunted World of El Superbeasto

okie...

First the BE/expansion scene posted earlier:

Second - BE during catfight - great song too:

Next - again, like the TF clips - from the extra features.

Alternate, extended version storyboards of first scene:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=D4HR2DKD

And another alternate, early version of the same scene - very nice expansion all around...! Storyboards only, but it works for me.

Again....I most highly recommend renting/buying and watching the entire DVD - this is one great work of art for process fans - pretty much anyone on this board. Excellent all around - two thumbs up!

Re: The Haunted World of El Superbeasto

Anyone else think that the last clip would have been *very* interesting to see fully animated and colored - to say the least? Not that the version that made the final cut wasn't good - but dang - some great body inflation on demand, followed up by BE and Butt expansion....sweet!

Re: The Haunted World of El Superbeasto

I get the distinct impression - based on those extended storyboard clips - that the filmmakers originally intended Velvet's inflatable physique to figure much more prominently than it did in the final cut. They devoted so much time to showing off what she could do, I can't help but feel they were going somewhere with it.

Still, I can understand why they went with the shorter version of the introduction. The extended version - as entertaining as it was - didn't really serve any purpose or advance the story in any way, beyond shameless fanservice (not that there's anything wrong with that, mind you). They'd already solidly established her ability to inflate and control her boobs and butt, so there was no real reason to belabor the point any further.

If there's one thing I've learned about filmmaking, it's that short and punchy generally trumps long and draw-out. The shorter intro - slightly disappointing though it might be for expansion fans - was definitely the wiser cinematic choice.

I'm definitely going to have to snag a copy of this DVD when I get the chance. The local Blockbuster just down the street has them in-store, so I'll probably be moseying on down there within the next week or so to pick one up and give it a look-see.

ripped using dvdshrink to .vob, converted to .avi at 80% quality using autogk (which autoconverts with virtualdub as well). Not sure if that helps. I didn't change any codec settings in autogk the way I would in avi.net (which stopped working on my machine a month back or so for no apparent reason).

edit. as far as I can tell, autogk should be outputting them in xvid codec as opposed to divx. Player issues?
