Without a unified genre to think about, there's not realoly any development going on, and therefore there's a lack of ideas.

I for one voted RPG, so either that or adventure game, because I believe that the most meaningful BE occurs in context.
Check out Unity:

It's primarily for 3D games, but I think it can be used to make 2D games fairly easily as well.

Cool game- the surprise was very nice. While I have to agree that the difficulty was a little high and the frustration level (from having to wait that long) would be too high, I think the demo is a good demonstration of your initial concept and perhaps with a standard shooter firefight going on at the same time you could mix this into a nice concept. I imagine shooting and dodging while keeping an eye on the ball would be much more fun than simply waiting.

Litch- Unity is pretty good. Here are some more links that you might like to check out. I've heard recently that Game Salad is a good one.

Y'know, it occurs to me that a decent BE game could be made using Inform 7. It seems to be able to support a fair few of the features mentioned above.
Of course, text-based games tend to be a little light-on in the art department. Then again, if you can read a normal BE story you should be able to read an interactive one.

I'd be happy to come up with whatever for an rpg as a writer of sorts. Currently I'm trying to structure some kind of choose your own adventure, but obviously it'd be text based as that is my force.

Hmm text-based is intriguing. I would play/read them - however I don't find myself running to the overflowingbra mud all the time either so maybe not. I think most would agree perfect artwork would be in their perfect game.
But perhaps for some people, text - or their imagination - is the perfect artwork.

Hear, hear!

The problem with sexual fetishes is that they tend to be specific, and they tend to be in the mind. Any representation or manifestation of that fetish in art or reality has to match (or at least approximate)the expectations and mental image of the viewer, or runs the risk of being disappointing, or in the worst case scenario, a turn-off.
I suspect that written works, with their details-left-unmentioned and potential for broad interpretation, are less likely to be disappointing to any given reader than art. Unless the story is extremely graphic and unambiguous, that is. Or if the art was really abstract.
But who ever heard of abstract pornography?

Anyone who has seen a work from Mamabliss. :P
Text has it's strengths, but the reason that's what I work with is also that I'm simply no artist. :P If I could illustrate what I write, I would.
Then again, I'm one of those people who go to the MUD/MUSHes frequently.
