Let's Learn One Of The Differences Between Manga and Anime
http://www.onemanga.com/Kekkaishi/144/19/
This author avatar explains how his manga managed to become an anime and what he does when he's given the choice to work on both of them at once. This is the manga that became an anime: http://www.hulu.com/kekkaishi?c=Animation-and-Cartoons |

AND is going to be aired on Adult Swim.
You mustn't forget that. Although how this one got chosen over Hajime no Ippo, Guyver Biobooster Armor, Eyeshield 21 or even Celty is beyond me, considering it's directly meant for early teenagers... Last edited by GLKnight83; 05-08-2010 at 01:39 AM. |

Re: Let's Learn One Of The Differences Between Manga and Anime
I think it's going to Adult Swim instead of somewhere else is because there's a ghost gay dog in the manga/anime. He just suddenly went gay for the characters's predecessor as soon as he met him when he was explaining how he died and was related to their current enemy. Main character's reaction to this revelation: "You're a dog and what's worse you're a male!"

Re: Let's Learn One Of The Differences Between Manga and Anime
To me the big difference between comics and animation, or any other medium really, is that in comics you have complete seamless control over time. Other mediums can skip forward or backward in time, but in a comic you can slow down or speed up time anywhere without ever drawing attention to it.
I'm not seeing any conflicts here.
