I can't believe I missed this the first time around! You're a VERY good artist and I hate to hear about all that crap on DA. I'm terrible at art, and so I really admire people like yourself that can really draw because I have no idea how you do it, lol.

"I am now a robot" got me laughing, btw. You not only draw well, you have good dialogue (a combination that's not always easy to find in BE comics.)

For whatever it's worth, try setting goals; I know it's trite and cliche, but you'd be amazed what you can accomplish by throwing an initial dollar figure in the air. Let's say you need to furnish an apartment, you'd break it down to "I could sure use a chair..." then "that chair is $150 that I don't have"... "I asked for donations towards a $150 chair for my apartment"... "I got $90, not quite $150, but it's a start". Same thing goes for family misfortune: "I don't know how I'll pay off this hospital bill from the pneumonia treatments" becomes "I need $2500 for the co-pay, so I can ask around and see if anyone can contribute to the massive debt created by a hospital stay"... "I didn't expect this much sympathy; $1800 isn't the full amount, but we can only go up from here".

Bottom line, keep a positive attitude and set realistic expectations, and there's nothing you can't accomplish. Chin up and all that, but I've seen enough of your unique one-ness to believe that you will persevere. You're a tough guy, and failure ain't an option.

Side Note: I'm strapped for cash myself, at the moment, but my paycheck will be in later today. Expect some windfall from that, but I usually like to know if what I'm contributing is too much or not enough.

well im about 1500$ off from my original moving goal. but so many unexpected things have happened that i wasnt able to save enough. between student loans, car troubles, computer troubles, travel expenses for job interviews etc. ive been kinda bumrushed... but ive transferred my current savings into a gold backed bond program so is effectively untouchable until i am ready to move. unfortunately that means that i still need 1500 dollars, and anything i make at the moment goes to current bills and life...

well guys, ive had a few people ask me whats been going on that will cause me to take such a hiatus. besides the above. I guess i will come clean with it, my pop died 2 weeks ago, so ive been dealing with all the things that entails. lots of expenses come with that unfortunately. So that is why i have needed to take so much time. hes been sick for a while, but im just glad thats over. I still have 2 more commissions left, and of course the thing for transrepo.

I am honestly shocked that you were willing to finish the commissions given your RL situation. You take whatever time you need and good luck and God's speed getting things settled.
