TF-Viewer: Not to start an argument, but given I watched this episode on Monday...the episode 'The Almost People' (2nd part of the story, 1st part being 'The Rebel Flesh') has pretty much exactly what John Y Smith describes, albeit the process involved is pretty minimal.

A character gets pushed backwards and falls on it's back into acid, cue very tame melting.

Ganger gets really angry and begins to morph (at a distance), long neck, on all fours like some weird primitive beast and starts chasing people.

Also an earlier scene with (implied) devouring/vore....
