Re: I hate Micheal Bay films

I loved the old transformers. Sure they might be going for realism, but all hte tiny fractions of parts moving around on the faces and EVERYWHERE might look kinda cool, it makes it damn hard to tell a lot of bot apart unless then have a bright color like Bumblebee and Optimus. Hell I looked up the pic of transformed Arcee and couldn't even tell she was ... well anything. Optimus' emotions are harder to make out than the old animations due to all those whriling gismos and movign parts. It's jsut a bit of an overcomplicated mess. Look neat, but only if you don't care abotu actually SEEIGN the characters.

So you grew up on Beast Wars?

.....I loved that series XD

Anyway, they had to do something to make transformers look more....real. Michael Bay made them actually WORK, in that every part of the machine/vehicle they turn into is visible on them in their normal robot form. There is no mass changes like in the old series (See: Megatron turning into a handgun that Starscream would then hold....).

I always found that really, REALLY ironic given how egotistical Megatron is consistently portrayed as being in the G1 series.
