I'm thinking I'll probably be doing another remake of this in the future since I'm still not drawing the way I'd like to.

Ah, may not be up to what you're after, Sucht, but it's still pretty good. Also, in regards to my last post, I wasn't really mentioning the speed of the project, as I know that such series based pictures take time, but more the fact that the artists I mentioned just get bored of what they're doing thanks to the extra work and find themselves trailing off.

Wait, this is a REMAKE of "Hand Maid May"?

I thought it was a sequel!

There's no need to remake something that is already good to begin with! Look how the remakes of "The Omen" and "Planet of the Apes" turned out!

Alien Ant Farm's version of "Smooth Criminal" sucks money dick, while the Michael Jackson original is a classic.

Yes, it's remake. I stated that clearly when I first announced that I'd be doing this.
The reason for doing so is that I feel that in the year that has passed I have improved some and thus wanted to see how much I'd improved.

Besides, the other comic had pretty much been written into a dead-end since it was poorly planed (not that this new one isn't any better planned....)

Also, Hand Maid May is a real series. This is just a fan comic. Using a very very loose version of the characters as it's been ages since I've seen the show. And no, no growth like this happens in the show.

Sometimes reamkes work. Not often. But sometimes.

It sorted depends. The group did "Smooth Criminal" as sort of a tribute.

That, and even though it's a cover, it not the same style. The original was 80's pop, the new one was modern "rock".

There are some good covers out there, it just depends on your musical taste.

For instance, I like Orgy's cover of New Order's "Blue Monday", but the original New Order version is still good.

Alos, in the case of remixes, there are also occasions where I like remixes better tehn the original song. ex. I like the Deep Dish remix of Paul Van Dyk's "The Other Side" better than the original.

In some cases that holds true, in others it doesn't. Especially in an entertainment medium whre alot of factors are decidd by individual taste.

I actually drew it sometime last week, but I just now decided to use it as page 4, so there it is.

It's been a little long since I got sick the week before and wasn't feeling good enough to draw.

Sorry this took so long. I finally got up off my ass and drew another page.

It'll be quite some time before I'd ever be happy with my drawings, but at least what I drew I thought was good enough to at least post. Besides, I can do another comic further down the road. This one is just a test of what I can do now.

As for the comic itself, yeah, it's been 4 weeks and evey's probably "WHAT? 4 weeks and STILL NO GROWTH? AND WTF is up with the guy in the last frame?


Yes, once again, I've overdone Kazuya's reaction... forever will his face contorted into strange shapes be. Yeees. MMmmm. Hehe heh.
