the Digimon transformation thread

I've been thinking about doing a sequel to Kari's Dark Digivolution, and I think I have a good idea, but I've hit a snag: what should she transform from? There are two possible options, and both have pros and cons.

1. She could be reverted to her human form and transform from that.
Pro: It's an easier baseline to work from
Con: It requires more narrative contrivance and it retreads the first transformation

2. She could simply transform from LadyDevimon.
Pro: It makes more sense, narratively speaking
Con: It would be a lot more difficult to draw

Right now I'm leaning towards the first option, but I'd like some input.
