Writing.com Finds
Finally decided to put up these links on here, I blame laziness.
Anyway here are some of the best interactive stories I could find on the site that still exist, filled with lots of process. Even will point out the ones I enjoyed. Click on the Story Outline link near bottom to see all the chapters written so far. Hopefully these can get enough attention to get some contributors writing chapters for them again. I've written a few segments back in the day but I feel there's little to no purpose if you are the only one doing so nowadays. :c http://www.writing.com/main/interact...Girls-Grow-Big (Missy, Ashley, and Nikki arcs) http://www.writing.com/main/interact...al-Interactive (Rebekah and Nicole arcs, while cut short. Hoping it gets add on as it starts off well written) http://www.writing.com/main/interact...Growing-Beauty (Liz arcs) http://www.writing.com/main/interact...-Nel-the-Pixie Enjoy!

Re: Writing.com Finds
I feel the same way you do. Both a lack of motivation and the fact that fewer and fewer people contribute make writing new chapters seem pointless. I haven't given writing.com a good peruse in a while but try to see what's new at the bearchive interactive game every day or so. I've even seen some classic writing.com stories on their including chapters I've written posted by other people. Is it just me, or am I the only one that thinks we are a dying breed?

Re: Writing.com Finds
If anyone's here interested in FMG, I've recently opened a thread about a worthy FMG interactive story from writing.com: http://www.process-productions.com/f...ad.php?t=30639
I think it's worth the read. ![]() Sorry Flak for the crosspost, I hope you won't mind ;P |

CYOC has some crazy creative arcs that have many long branches, but there are also a lot of other.... bizarre crap that turns me off of the site. For instance, there are a lot of gay TF arcs and I don't like to read those at all. It also has the problem of having to many options, so if you find an old but great story arc, chances are that it is permanently extinct. I love the interactive story medium and I wish that it received more attention. It's more accessible than many paid comic and story sites and can be more creative and interesting, too.

Re: Writing.com Finds
I used to write at Writing.com a LONG time ago but after an year or two without updates my acount was deleted... I made a new one and added a few chapters to two TF stories but never really got back into it because the stories never moved forward and the aditions used to be some really brainless crap like "U TRANSFORM AnD GROW AND HAZ SEXZ WITH PEOPLEZ" and such. Perhaps I should go back to adding chapters to interactive stories, I would love if more intrested writers would take part on it.

Re: Writing.com Finds
Massive branching round robins work poorly in the best of situations. In the worst without moderatorship or good find/display tools they just sit as a mess of false starts.

This has always been my favorite Writing.com story, but in recent times barely anyone has contributed to it. It'd be great if others updated it. |
