I wouldn't call 4chan a "dump". I like going there and looking at some funny images every now and again, though most of the mend up on Macrochan anyway.

Were the images at least lower quality than the ones from jollyjack's folder? Blurrier images, I think, would be less a deal. I don't give a shit honestly, because I already bought it.

If it was someone's pay day and you ran up and grabbed some cash and ran off with some of their money and didn't get caught... how is that any different to leeching content? Stealing from fat corporations is one thing but taking from one guy... asking a whole £1? Well, I'd say the above analogy is apt.

To be honest, there isn't any excuse for posting illicit content... directly or otherwise. Ignorance isn't an excuse but really, what good would a ban do.

I personally think not only that ignorance isn´t an excuse than that there is no excuse for ignorance. And, if somebody is selling something, you just can´t go and set it out for free. You have no right to do that. That is a question of common sence and not if you are ignorant. It is theft and you should be persecutet for it. Period.

Agreeably, in this particular case, Jolly Jack has every right to sell his work, and purchasing it, then posting it on a free forum or site on the internet is pretty sleazy and would warrant a call to The Hacker/Turkish Hacker to go and screw with your hard drive.

The only way where it would be OK to do something sleazy would be in a case where there was no collateral damage, particularly to individuals. In this case, there appears to be only one individual that is being victimized, which is Jolly Jack.
Now if only there was a way to get back at PayPal for forcing Jolly Jack to remove content, that would be something...
