Werewolf show called "Bitches"
Does anybody know what happened to it? It was suppose to come out a couple of years ago but hasn't been heard of since. Here is the link: http://www.tvguide.com/News/Werewolf...s-1001137.aspx

Fell into the bottomless void of shows that we'll never see. Sorry, it's never happening.

I wonder if they ever got as far as filming any of it... though somehow I doubt it even got as a far as a casting call.

Re: Werewolf show called "Bitches"
sadly Michael Dougherty (writer/director/producer of Trick 'r Treat, my favorite Halloween movie of all time) seem to have fallen into a pit along with it. I guess the only thing worse than creating a movie that the studio deems inappropriate to release is to then, when released, have the move be successful and thus prove the studio wrong.
I would not be at all surprised if the pilot was filmed, but if pilots don't get picked up they vanish into the ether. Hundreds of pilots get made every year that are never seen outside of boardrooms.

That's why they call it Development Hell. For one of the more extreme examples, Spider-Man didn't get to theaters until 17 years after it was optioned. Not a typo - seventeen years.

Re: Werewolf show called "Bitches"
Even video games face development hell, do I need to mention Duke Nuke Em Forever? Some movies get made simply to keep the copyright fresh, but are never supposed to be released. The first Fantastic Four movie even though fully produced(special effects and all) and even partly marketed was never meant to be and will never be released. Of course it's said to be an abomination.

Re: Werewolf show called "Bitches"
I understand that Sony preserving the film rights is the main reason we now have The Amazing Spider-Man in theaters.
Dune is another property with a troubled production history. The David Lynch version was actually the third attempt (Lynch accepted the film after passing on directing Return of the Jedi). An earlier try was planned to be 10 hours long, have designs by Chris Foss, H.R. Giger and Moebius, and a cast including David Carradine, Mick Jaggar, Orson Welles, Herve Villachaize ("De spice, boss! De spice!") and Salvador Dali as the emperor. Which just goes to show you never know how things will turn out. |

Sounds like the one Alejandro Jodorowsky (Incal, Metabarons, El Topo, etc) was slated to direct....

Re: Werewolf show called "Bitches"
Actually, a studio does not care to be proven wrong or right, they care about money. If you make a movie and it makes money, you will be hired to make more movies. Even if a certain studio hated you for making a movie that won them cash, other studios would want to hire you because you made a movie that made Big Bucks.
