Isn't this based off a book series? So could be season one of many?

Possible, the book Bitten ends with resolution of stay in humanity/return to pack conflict though which I doubt a TV series will throw away so quickly though, so might diverge there.

And likely wise agree with trc071880, the first "origin" TF will likely be the only detailed one, if they have her time in city before the murders perhaps that one might be semi-detailed, but even in the book most of the changes are pretty darn quick.

It is based on a book that's part of a series. Not all the books focus on the werewolves, the stories within that universe include vampires, demons, ghosts, witches, etc, but I think there's at least four books in which the werewolves are the central characters. So if this turns out to be successful then we may get TV versions of the other books as well.
