Alternatively, a number of writers subscribe to the theory that changing gender means changing sexual orientation, and make their newly-TGed protagonists straight "because they were straight before" or "because it's just natural". Personally, I don't like this kind of generalisation. Sexuality can be very fluid, and obviously with fantasy you have artistic licence to do pretty much whatever you want to your characters' headspaces, but I've read way too many stories where a TGed character instantly becomes a submissive fucktoy to some generic male rapist, and it really gets me down.
