In Digimon Season 2 they had and aborted arch involving the "Dark Ocean" dimension, where the Diver/Scubamon residents had Kari could free them from the Digimon emperor and then planed to take her to their master, the shadow of said master was seen, and it was Dagonmon (his name comes from the Deep One Dagon and he looks like Chutullu). It would be a good fit if Kari's "dark evolution" was Dagonmon's doing. Having LadyDevimon/Kari take her prize to the "Dark Ocean" and having it's waters evolve her further, and it could even trigger a "Ruin Mode" transformation in Angewomon.

In order for her to evolve futher, she would have to kill Angewomon as a sacrifice to the dark area... plus the promise of killing the other digidestined, you know, the usual Bad guy stuff.

Killing is a bit much, sort of a mood killer in some ways. "corrupt" her would be a more appropriate solution that could lead to more TF fun. Plus then you'd have a sort of Dark queen and her pet scenario going on which could open the door to future TF of the other digi girls if it was ever desired. |
