Re: Inuyasha is back
I don't see any problem with an anime running for hundreds of episodes as long as you continue to have good story lines.
I never really liked One Piece to begin with, but prime examples are Naruto and Bleach (not counting the filler). I honestly think that if InuYasha were compressed into one of those 26 episode series, it would actually be a lot better. The story isn't that bad, it's just ONE HUUNNNDREEDD AND SIIXXXTTYYY SEEVVEENN EPPIISSOODDEEES isn't very appropriate.

Re: Inuyasha is back
Now all we can hope for is a new season of Rurouni Kenshin tying the series up by following the manga, or a new season of Berserk picking up where the plot actually starts getting awesome.
Also, Inuyasha is awful. It started strong and went to shit the second they introduced Naraku. If they had focused on Inuyasha and Sesshomaru's relationship and rivalry, much like s-CRY-ed did with Kazuma and Ryuohou, it may have turned out to be something more than... well, terrible execution. Also, everything else about it is awful, and it pretty much alienated me in high school by being the only geek who didn't think Inuyasha was the greatest thing ever because I had already discovered the internet and good anime. 。・゚・(ノД`)・゚・。 Oh, and Bleach is the new Dragonball Z, for this generation of teenagers. Get used to it. The rest of us can kick back and enjoy Dragonball Kai and how deliciously straightforward it is by comparison to the original. |

Well, we still have the manga, right? Unless that rape ban in Japan bleeds over into forms of media other than eroge, that is... |

Re: Inuyasha is back
What other half?
Spoilers ahead She comes back with her horns broken, and the Nyu personality has taken over completely; Lucy is gone. Which is fucking bullshit, since she was an actual personality, not some sort of terrible moeblob. Elfen Lied is sorely overrated, as well. It tries to be DEEP, but it doesn't stand up to any sort of scrutiny. It's all an excuse for mindless bloodshed, sort of like a Michael Bay film is with explosions. 。・゚・(ノД`)・゚・。 Even so, I liked it when I was younger, so whatever :< They can't all be winners. |

Re: Inuyasha is back
Give me Lupin!
Give me one of the spinoffs from Fist of the North Star! Give me something that is light-hearted, but can be serious at any given moment! Give me something other than Death Note and anime like it (including Code Geass), ANOTHER Rumiko Takahashi story (she uses the same variants over and over and over. She's better than that), and ANOTHER anime suffering from DBZ syndrome (ya know, "You're strong!", "I must get STRONGER!", "How'd you get STRONGER?!", and "What power!"). |

Yu Yu Hakusho didn't exactly follow the usual shonen route, although it drags a little at the start. You can see him actually improving throughout the show, without the use of lengthy training montages, filler episodes, or distinctive "power levels", as used in most shonen anime. Also, there's at least a LITTLE plot development every episode, and once you get beyond the first part where he's becoming a spirit detective, it really picks up. I-I loved Yu Yu Hakusho :< And again, there is no "other half" of Elfen Lied. The anime ends right around where the manga does, but it leaves out a distinctive ending, which you could just google, read, or see my quick spoiler on the first page for. Re: Inuyasha is back
Well, I sorta do have hope for this. I was one of those annoying teens that fell in love with "Inu-Yasha" before it got insanely popular.
I mean, before they were having a bunch of filler, because it kept catching up to the manga. Since the manga is finished...I'm hoping it'll follow the original manga better now. ...Though I still think the manga ended in the stupidest way possible.
