Yeah, that was my fault.

And no, the automation was not finished. I had been emailing the stories to the purchasers to make up for it, but things have gotten caught up here at home.

If you haven't received a single one, your ISP may be blocking my email server. Check your junk box just in case. If you still haven't received them, send me a private message here.

I have a question for the community, specifically anyone who purchased from this site while it was active:

Did anyone actually receive the product they paid for? I have been waiting close to two weeks for the two stories I purchased, and aside from emailed responses stating that he is going to email them any day now, he seems to be unwilling to take the time to send the actual files. I just want to know if I'm alone in this difficulty or not.

He must of had some difficulties. Not only did he not have time to send them to you, he also fell short of his 10 story goal, I only see 8 up there.

Yes, some difficulties...

In that the delay of opening the site put it into the vicinity of everything I was doing for GenCon. And unfortunately I did not have the necessary net access I was hoping for at the show.

I will be working this week in my spare time before school to fixing everything and getting the remainder of the stories out to those who had been waiting. Some who had purchased and had the stories emailed say they never received them, so this too is something that needs to be fixed.

Just as a suggestion for the future, if you try something like this again without hard testing the code under real world conditions, consider labeling it as a 'donation' not a 'purchase' during the first run.

Since failures always seem to sneak in no matter how much you test things, you can be pretty sure it won't work as expected the first time, and you seem to be too busy to handle the repairs and distribution manually in a timely manner. People tend to be a lot more forgiving about donations that go astray, instead of actual purchases that become vaporware.

You should probably consider refunds if you cannot get this resolved soon. Consider this from the point of view of someone going to McDonald's and being told their cooker is broken, after the meal is ordered and money has changed hands, and then waiting several hours and being told time and again, that the order will be filled real soon now. Eventually you would expect to get your money back, don't you think?

Especially since your website completely lacked any indication of problems on your end, not even a warning that there may be a delay. Instead, it was filled with warnings about how you can only download during a set time, pushing for the purchase of the collections instead of individual orders, and never seemed to have any problem accepting our money. As an online business owner I expected better from you.

Were these stories good? I'm pondering if I want to grab the collection in a bit.

Or have people still not getting their product?

Still trying to coordinate stories...

I've only gotten one person to respond to the emails sent out, and I'm fighting with the issues the University's having with the network in the new housing building. The time has passed for people to purchase the downloads, but I don't know how much longer it will be before everything's settled for those who have purchased them.

Since it appears people aren't responding...

Since it appears people aren't responding due to a serious issue that I still can't figure out...

If you have not received your stories and you have not gotten a follow-up email from me, your ISP is either discarding my emails en route or they are going into some trap or spam folder on your end and you're not looking for them.

I need a new email address to work from!

Also, I've been unable to send anything binary ANYWHERE. Attachments in emails, FTPing files, even DCC file sends on IRC or file sends through instant messengers are all failing after the first couple of K's. People can receive text files or attachment-less emails just fine from me. Apparently this is an issue of the facility and nothing I can presently do on my end. If anyone has any sound suggestion of how to send PDFs to people with these restrictions, let me know.

I read a pretty intense book on werewolves from the children's section of my library. I was a kid at the time, and even then I was interested in TF stuff. It wasn't sexual stuff at all, but there were a lot of intense tf description and often it was pretty violent. I'm still rather disturbed by the image of a female werewolf gorging herself on four-day old chicks from a farm until her stomach started to bloat.

There also were some tf stories in there that were very similar to more adult stories and situations that appear on this forum. There was a story about a store where you could purchase/rent different suits and become different kinds of monsters. There were dragons and all sorts of different things and the kid ended up trying out being a werewolf. I thought of this story whenever I see costume based tf stories.

I remember reading one book called "The Monster's Ring" when I was back in early grade school. Perhaps it's one of the books you're thinking of? I thought it was friggin' awesome at the time.
